The WCL Experience
Whalers' Cove Lodge offers the best combination of fresh and saltwater fishing anywhere in Alaska! Our guests have the daily choice of either kind of fishing and may choose to enjoy a combination of both!
Since our lodge is centrally located and we don't have to fly our guests out to saltwater or into a stream, it extends our clients daily fishing time. Our dock is located within minutes of one of the finest saltwater fisheries in southeast Alaska.
We offer: Fully Guided fishing adventures, with highly experienced U.S. Coast Guard licensed captains averaging 20 years of fishing in our region; a Self Guided Package which allows anglers to fish at their own pace; or a combination package offering both guided and self-guided days. The best of both worlds!
Adventure Packages
All of our adventure packages, Guided and Self-Guided, are all-inclusive. All-inclusive at Whalers Cove Lodge means that your adventure rate includes:
- Round-Trip Transportation: from Juneau to Whalers Cove Lodge, includes 50 lbs of inbound luggage per person; from Whalers Cove Lodge to Juneau, includes 100 lbs of outbound luggage per person.
- All Food, Snacks and Non-Alcoholic Beverages. Meals Include Hot Breakfast and Dinner, Pack Lunches For Your Day on the Water

- Daily Room Service
- Guided Package: Daily Guided Fishing with Experienced Coast Guard-Licensed Captains, boat and fuel.
- Self-Guided Package: 18' Klamath/console fishing boat equipped with video fish finders, radios and power tilt outboard motors and fuel.
- Modern Fish Processing, including: vacuum packaging and flash freezing to your specification. The three and four day packages include 2 - 50lb boxes per person, the seven day package includes 3 - 50lb boxes per person. Boxes are wet-lock insulated and hold up to 50 pounds.
