  Long before early European explorers arrived in what is now southeast Alaska, the Tlingit Indians settled on our lodge site.  As a result, our area is rich with Tlingit culture and history.

  Our lodge site has also been the location of an early trading post, a whaling station, a herring reduction factory and the largest town and seaport in Alaska before the turn of the last century.   More...
