5 Stars for Whaler's Cove My third year fishing at Whaler's Cove and it was another memorable and rewarding vacation trip! The staff is top notch and wants to make sure that your trip is a great one! If you have ever dreamed of an Alaska Fishing trip, I encourage you to choose Whaler's Cove. The rooms are great, clean and comfortable. Coming back from a day of fishing met by the roaring fires in the lodge and a mixture of hot and cold appetizers is a great way to relax after a day of fishing. Wife demands we return! Completed my 3rd trip to WCL! Truly exceptional service, family atmosphere last two trips were with my wife. Alaska Salt & Fresh Water Fishing Fest We’ve been coming to Whaler’s Cove for over ten years, and it continues to meet our very high expectations. I cannot say enough good things about the experience and the staff. If you are looking for and epic Alaska fishing adventure, give Whaler’s Cove a go! Mark and Christine Powers and their team go above and beyond every year, and I am grateful to them every year … the fishing, the people, the equipment, the accommodations, and the food are all first class. Amazing Experience What an amazing experience! This was our first trip to Alaska. We caught salmon, rock fish, cod, pollock, and halibut. Kevin was the best guide! The staff is incredibly friendly. They anticipate your every need. The food was awesome and accommodations were wonderful. We will definitely be back! We highly recommend if you enjoy long days of fishing! Whaler's Cove - Doesn't Disappoint! Whaler's Cove - my second year fishing and it doesn't disappoint! This year they changed the transport to be half air, half boat, which is a great way to help work around mother nature when she doesn't oblige for planes to take off as early as we'd like. The lodging and cabin is top notch, comfortable and everything you need. Wake up to sit on your porch, have a cup of coffee and watch Carl the sea lion putting on a show in the bay. Breakfast is quickly prepared while you have time to assemble your lunch for the day. Everything you need is provided. Head out to the boats, nice boots, jackets and bibs are provided. We fished, and caught and fished and caught. There is no shortage of fish in our freezer! Our guide, Garfield, is native and can tell you a fascinating history of his family in the area. If you want to learn about the native people, cultures and everything in between, he knows it. After a day of fast paced fishing, you make your way back to the dock where you are met by the processing crew. Tallies are logged, provide your cutting instructions and let the bragging begin! The dock crew are happy to see your success and share in the excitement! While your catch of the day is expertly processed you can get to your cabin, leave your fishing gear and back to the lodge. Hungry? Don't worry...... Two different appetizers are waiting for you, the fireplaces are blazing inside the lodge and out on the deck. Sit by the fire, challenge someone to a game of pool, or just watch the other boats make their way in. The dinner bell rings and the real food is served - appetizers that aren't your everyday menu, quail lollipops, wild boar meatballs, elk stew, fish stew, just to name few. Dinner entrees always two choices, or take both! If you leave Whaler's Cove lodge hungry..... it's your own fault! Don't Miss The Ultimate Alaskan Fishing Experience!!! A "Must Do" for all avid and new fishermen (and women)! Beautiful setting, great food, excellent amenities, and outstanding service. Outstanding fishing 🎣 trip, great people! If you enjoy fishing and want to see Alaska, this is the place for you!! The rooms, lodge, and especially the people are absolutely amazing. Not to mention the location breathtaking. The food is outstanding and couldn't be any fresher. The care for the guests is genuine, on the day we arrived it was raining but, it didn't stop us from going out. Later in the morning it got worse, 6' waves were hitting the boat from 3 different sides at once. I got sea sick really bad. Took the capt. twice as long to get back to the dock. By the time we got back I was done, one of the owners met us at the dock w/a 4-wheeler took me to our cabin, and made sure I ok. The next day everyone asked how I was. Some places would be "you'll be fine" yaya. Not WCL the concern was real. We WILL be going back. Well worth the money spent.

The great Alaska Adventure Best place in Alaska to go for the whole fishing lodge experience, awesome fishing boats, accommodations at the lodge food is awesome being able to see all the whales and other wildlife is something you'll never forget as well, the scenery is breath taking. you build memories that you can share with your and friends forever
